Hook J
ch = chain dc = double crochet (US) fptc = front post triple crochet
hdc = half double crochet
- Starting with your base color (for example, brown in the pictures above) ch 40
- Ch 1 and turn
- Put in a marker. Dc down one side of your chain and then the other until you reach your marker.
- Dc x8
- Skip 2 + fptc x2 + switch to your accent color + fptc x2 behind previous stitches
- Dc x2 + skip 1 + fptc x1 + switch to your accent color + fptc x1 behind previous stitches
- Noted as A
- dc around + fptc x2 + fptc x2
- One set of the above fptc will be in accent color and the other will be in base color.
- dc x2 + fptc x1 + fptc x2
- One set of the above fptc will be in accent color and the other will be in base color.
- Noted as B
- dc around + skip 2 + fptc x2 + fptc x2 behind previous stitches
- One set of the above fptc will be in accent color and the other will be in base color.
- dc x2 + skip 1 + fptc x1 + fptc x1 behind previous stitches
- One set of the above fptc will be in accent color and the other will be in base color.
- (A + B) x 7 more times
- Dc to next corner and then the corner after that.
- Start your strap.
- ch 90 in your base color
- Triple check that your chain is not twisted when you connect it to the other side.
- hdc up one side
- dc around mouth of bag
- hdc down other side of strap
- tie off
