"It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are."

1. What do you value most in life?
I would have to say my relationship with God. I wasn't saved until I was older, and it has been difficult to establish myself as a Christian. I've had many ups and downs, but I think I'm finally finding where I need to be in my relationship with God.
2. What do you think is the greatest invention in your life and why?
My phone! I'm not going to lie: I'm technologically dependent. My whole life is on that thing!
3. What do you think is the secret to a good life?
Letting go. I have the WORST time with it though.
4. What would you most like to be remembered for when you're gone?
Having a kind heart.
5. What accomplishment in your life are you most proud of?
This is a tough one...I guess it would be getting into the nursing program.
Ah! I skipped Sunday Social this week - life got in the way. I'd have to say I agree with you on #3 - letting go goes a long way to helping you be happy. It's very hard - but essential to moving on. I read a post by a bloggy friend recently who wrote something about how she went to a talk where the theme was that you need to be the landlord of your soul (or something like that) - the point was, people can do horrible things to you, but it's YOU who controls how that impacts your life moving forward - so you need to evict them from you and move on. I liked the metaphor.

Wow, I really like that metaphor. I've definitely had to do some "evictions" during my time! Haha!

congratulations on getting into the nursing program! I was so proud of my sister when she started nursing school and even more when she graduated!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! It's a tough program, but worth it! Congratulations to your sister! She accomplished something that not a lot of people are cut out for.
